By the authority vested in me as President of the United States of America by Section 1 l(k) of the Food Stamp Act of 1977 (91 Stat. 974; 7 U.S.C. 2020 (k)),1 the United States Postal Service is hereby granted approval for post offices in all or part of any State to issue food stamps to eligible households, upon request by the appropriate State agency, as defined in Section 3(n) of the Food Stamp Act of 1977 (91 Stat. 960; 7 U.S.C. 2012(n)).
