Executive Order 11746—Assigning Emergency Preparedness Functions to the United States Treasury Department
By virtue of the authority vested in me as President of the United States, and pursuant to Reorganization Plan No. 1 of 1958 (72 Stat. 1799), the National Security Act of 1947, as amended, the Defense Production Act of 1950, as amended, and the Federal Civil Defense Act, as amended, Executive Order No. 11490 of October 28, 1969, is amended by substituting the following for paragraph (13) of Section 301 in Part 3—Department of the Treasury:
"(13) administration of customs laws, tax laws, the laws on control of alcohol, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, and firearms, and Title XI (Regulation of Explosives) of the Organized Crime Control Act of 1970 (Title 18, U.S.C., Chapter 40);"
