Executive Order 11056—Assigning to the Civil Service Commission Certain Authority With Respect to Federal Salaries

By virtue of the authority vested in me by the last sentence of Subsection (a) and Subsection (b) of Section 504 of the Federal Salary Reform Act of 1962 (which Act constitutes Part II of the Postal Service and Federal Employees Salary Act of 1962, Public Law 87-793, approved October 11, 1962), and as President of the United States, it is ordered as follows:

The Civil Service Commission is hereby designated and authorized to exercise the authority conferred upon the President by the provisions of Subsections (a) and (b) of Section 504 of the Federal Salary Reform Act of 1962 to make certain findings and to establish and revise certain rates of basic compensation, to the extent that that authority pertains to positions compensated under Section 603 (b) of the Classification Act of 1949, as amended (5 U.S.C. 1113(b)).
