The following listing includes the President's public schedule and other items of general interest announced by the White House Press Office and not included elsewhere in this issue.

October 12

The President returned to the White House from Camp David, Md.

October 14

The President met at the White House with:

—Zbigniew Brzezinski, Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs;

—Vice President Mohamed Hosni Moubarek of Egypt.

October 15

The President met at the White House with Dr. Brzezinski.

October 16

The President met at the White House with Dr. Brzezinski.

October 17

The President met at the White House with:

—Dr. Brzezinski;

—Secretary of State Edmund S. Muskie, Secretary of Defense Harold Brown, Deputy Secretary of State Warren M. Christopher, Lloyd N. Cutler, Counsel to the President, and Dr. Brzezinski.

The President announced the recess appointments of Laird F. Harris and Harold L. Thomas as Assistant Directors of the Community Services Administration. Both have been nominated for these positions but were not confirmed by the Senate before it adjourned.

The President left the White House for a weekend stay at Camp David.
