Designation of Ann Barbara Wrobleski as United States Representative on the Commission on Narcotic Drugs of the United Nations Economic and Social Council

The President today announced his intention to designate Ann Barbara Wrobleski as Representative of the United States of America on the Commission on Narcotic Drugs of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. She would succeed Jon R. Thomas.

Ms. Wrobleski is currently the Assistant Secretary for International Narcotics Matters at the Department of State. Prior to this, she served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Narcotics Matters at the Department of State, 1985-1986; and Special Projects Director for Mrs. Reagan at the White House, 1981-1985.

Ms. Wrobleski graduated from Stephens College (B.A., 1972). She was born April 3, 1952, in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Ms. Wrobleski is married and resides in Bethesda, MD.
