DeSantis Campaign Press Release - DeSantis Crushes Newsom and Biden, Unites Republicans in Debate Win

Tallahassee, FL - Following Ron DeSantis' smackdown of Gavin Newsom and his "flurry of lies" in his debate victory, DeSantis for President campaign manager James Uthmeier released the following statement:

"In tonight's thrilla' in Alpharetta, Ron DeSantis landed a knockout. He highlighted what's at stake next November: the continued decline of our nation under the Biden-Newsom agenda, or the revival of America's strength and prosperity under a DeSantis administration," said James Uthmeier, campaign manager for Ron DeSantis for President. "Joe Biden wants to do to America what Gavin Newsom has done to California, and Ron DeSantis used this debate win to expose what that would mean for hardworking men and women across our country: more inflation, open borders, China on the rise, and federal government overreach in every aspect of daily life. Ron DeSantis was victorious tonight and showed he is the only Republican candidate for president who has the record and vision to defeat the Biden-Newsom agenda at the ballot box and lead the Great American Comeback as our next commander-in-chief."

The top moments of the night went to Ron DeSantis when he exposed Gavin Newsom for his repeated lies about his failed leadership of California.

"I don't mind Gavin lying to me, but I do mind him lying to you. He is sitting there saying that Joe Biden is willing to solve this problem. Is there anybody out there that actually believes this? Joe Biden created this problem. If he's willing to lie to you about that, you know he's lying to you about all these other facts and figures - about all this other stuff. He's just throwing stuff out to see what sticks against the wall. This is a slick, slippery politician whose state is failing. People are leaving his state and he's trying to run interference for his failure."
