Department of Labor Nomination of Dennis R. Wyant To Be Deputy Assistant Secretary for Veterans' Employment.

The President today announced that he will nominate Dennis R. Wyant, of Bethesda, Md., to be Deputy Assistant Secretary of Labor for Veterans' Employment. He would replace Roland Mora, resigned.

Wyant was born October 27, 1943, in Parsons, Kans. He received a B.S. from Southwest Missouri State University in 1965, an M.B.A. from Wright State University in 1971, and an Ed. D. from the University of Cincinnati in 1974.

From 1973 to 1975, Wyant was national field director for the Blinded Veterans Association. From 1975 to 1976, he was staff coordinator of the Committee on Disabled Veterans of the President's Committee on Employment of the Handicapped, and from 1976 to 1977, he was chief of economic concerns and disabled veterans.

Since 1977 Wyant has been Special Assistant to Administrator of Veterans Affairs Max Cleland.

Wyant is a consultant to the American Foundation for the Blind and the President's Committee on Employment of the Handicapped.
