Mrs. Roosevelt and I are deeply shocked and grieved at the great calamity which has befallen you and your children. In your hour of distress we extend to you our heartfelt sympathy. In the death of His Majesty King Alexander the Yugoslav people have lost a courageous leader who worked untiringly for their wellbeing.
