On Monday, December 31, 2018, the President signed into law:

S. 7, the "NASA Enhanced Use Leasing Extension Act of 2018," which extends through December 31, 2019, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's enhanced use lease authority;

S. 943, the "Johnson-O'Malley Supplemental Indian Education Program Modernization Act," which requires the Secretary of the Interior to conduct and maintain an updated count of American Indian and Alaska Native students in public schools who qualify for supplemental Federal assistance under the Johnson-O'Malley (JOM) program;

S. 1520, the "Modernizing Recreational Fisheries Management Act of 2018," which amends the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act to improve the management of fisheries;

S. 2076, the "Building Our Largest Dementia Infrastructure for Alzheimer's Act" or the "BOLD Infrastructure for Alzheimer's Act," which reauthorizes and expands activities related to Alzheimer's disease and related dementias;

S. 2248, the "Veterans Benefits and Transition Act of 2018," which amends various authorities related to health care; veteran homelessness; education benefits; memorial affairs; departmental administration; and other matters;

S. 2278, the "State Offices of Rural Health Reauthorization Act of 2018," which reauthorizes Federal grants for State Offices of Rural Health;

S. 2736, the "Asia Reassurance Initiative Act of 2018," which establishes a multifaceted U.S. strategy to increase U.S. security, economic interests, and values in the Indo-Pacific region;

S. 3530, the "Museum and Library Services Act of 2018," which reauthorizes, amends, and expands the programs of the Institute for Museum and Library Services;

H.R. 767, the "Stop, Observe, Ask, and Respond to Health and Wellness Act of 2018" or the "SOAR to Health and Wellness Act of 2018," which authorizes a program to train health care and social service providers to identify, treat, and respond appropriately to victims of human trafficking;

H.R. 2606, the "Stigler Act Amendments of 2018," which amends the Stigler Act to eliminate the blood quantum requirement with regard to maintaining restricted status for certain tribal lands;

H.R. 4227, the "Vehicular Terrorism Prevention Act of 2018," which requires the Department of Homeland Security to assess and develop a strategy to improve its efforts to support emergency response providers and the private sector to prevent, mitigate, and respond to the threat of vehicular terrorism;

H.R. 5075, the "Ashanti Alert Act of 2018," which requires the Department of Justice to establish a national communications network, to be known as the Ashanti Alert communications network, to assist regional and local search efforts for certain missing adults; and

H.R. 5509, the "Innovations in Mentoring, Training, and Apprenticeships Act," which requires the National Science Foundation to award grants to develop and improve STEM courses and degrees, combining formal education with applied learning experiences.
