Announcement of Intention To Nominate Christopher U. Sylvester To Be a Member of the Renegotiation Board

The President today announced his intention to nominate Christopher U. Sylvester, of Hatton, N. Dak., to be a member of the Renegotiation Board. He will succeed Daniel Eldred Rinehart, who resigned effective January 31, 1975.

Since 1957, Mr. Sylvester has been administrative assistant to United States Senator Milton R. Young, of North Dakota. He was executive secretary to Senator Young from 1955 to 1957, after serving as special assistant to the Attorney General for the State of North Dakota in 1954.

Mr. Sylvester was born on December 30, 1929, in Grand Forks, N. Dak. He received his B.A. degree from Jamestown College of Jamestown, N. Dak., in 1951. He received his LL.B. degree from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1954.

Mr. Sylvester is married to the former Elizabeth Ulsaker, and they have three children. They reside in McLean, Va.
