Statement by the Press Secretary on the President's Participation in the Friends of Pakistan Leaders Meeting

"President Barack Obama, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Gordon Brown will chair the Friends of Democratic Pakistan Summit in New York on September 24. The three leaders look forward to discussing with their counterparts continued international support for the people and democratic government of Pakistan in addressing a range of economic, security and humanitarian challenges. Twenty-six countries and international institutions, including the co-chairs, will participate in the Summit."
