Statement of Administration Policy: H.R. 2095 - Daylight Savings Extension

October 02, 1985

STATEMENT OF ADMINISTRATION POLICY

(House Rules)
(Markey (D) Massachusetts and 9 others)

The Administration supports enactment of H.R. 2095, which would change (1) the beginning of daylight saving time (DST) from the last Sunday in April to the first Sunday in April and (2) the ending of DST from the last Sunday in October to the first Sunday in November. The Administration would oppose the amendment of H.R. 2095 to allow a State to exempt itself from the DST change to be made by this bill.
