Readout of Vice President Biden's Meeting with President of Switzerland Johann Schneider-Ammann

The Vice President met today with President of Switzerland Johann Schneider-Ammann. The Vice President thanked President Schneider-Ammann for Switzerland's support on Iran, which was instrumental in achieving a deal to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon and free U.S citizens held there; and for hosting Syria peace talks. The Vice President lauded Switzerland's apprenticeship program, noting U.S. efforts to make apprenticeship opportunities available to American students. The two leaders also discussed the situation in Ukraine and ways to deepen U.S. - Swiss economic cooperation.
