Press Release - President Donald J. Trump Announces Intent to Nominate Personnel to Key Administration Post

Today, President Donald J. Trump announced his intent to nominate the following individual to a key position in his Administration:

Elaine A. McCusker of Virginia, to be Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller).

Ms. McCusker is the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Comptroller. Before this, she served as the Director of Resources and Analysis at United States Central Command, as Deputy Director of Operations in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense Comptroller, and as a professional staff member on the Senate Armed Services Committee.

Ms. McCusker previously worked in the private sector and academic community, including with the Department of Energy's Argonne National Laboratory and the University of Washington.
