I THANK Your Majesty for your telegram and assure you that it has been a sincere pleasure to have as our guests your distinguished brother and his Princess Consort. The cordial friendship evinced by our imperial guests have completely won our hearts and their visit will remain a most pleasant memory.

Note: Prince Takamatsu and his Princess Consort were on an around-the-world honeymoon. They arrived in New York on April 10, 1931, and sailed from San Francisco on May 28.
