Letter to Dr. Thomas Keith Glennan Reconvening the Board of Inquiry in the Labor Dispute at Atomic Energy Facilities at Oak Ridge and Paducah.

Dear Dr. Glennan:

This will advise you that on August 11, 1954, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee issued an injunction in the case entitled United States of America v. Union Carbide and Carbon Corporation, et al., Civil Action No. 2456, enjoining each of the defendants from encouraging, causing or engaging in a strike or lockout in the atomic energy industry of the United States. The Attorney General will furnish you a copy of the injunction together with copies of all papers filed in the case.

Pursuant to Section 209 (b) of the Labor Management Relations Act, 1947, you are hereby reconvened as the Board of Inquiry established under Executive Order No. 10542 dated July 6, 1954, for the purpose of performing such further functions as may be required of you under the said Act.
