CHARLESTON, S.C. — Three days after Vladimir Putin murdered Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, Donald Trump finally mentioned Navalny's name. Did he condemn Putin as the brutal thug that he is? No. Did he praise Navalny's courageous fight? No. Did he acknowledge Putin's role in killing Navalny and so many others who dared to stand up to the Russian dictator? Of course not.
Trump unleashed an unhinged tweet comparing America to Russia and declaring himself the victim.
"Donald Trump could have condemned Vladimir Putin for being a murderous thug," Nikki Haley said. "Trump could have praised Navalny's courage. Instead, he stole a page from liberals' playbook, denouncing America and comparing our country to Russia."
