Executive Order 7776—Modification of Executive Order No. 7709-A of September 16, 1937, Abolishing the National Emergency Council
By virtue of and pursuant to the authority vested in me under the Emergency Relief Appropriation Act of 1935 (49 Stat. 115) and the Emergency Relief Appropriation Act of 1937, approved June 29, 1937 (Public Resolution No. 47, 75th Cong.), and otherwise, Executive Order No. 7709-A of September 16, 1937, abolishing, effective December 31, 1937, the National Emergency Council, is hereby modified so as to extend the date for the abolishment of the said National Emergency Council and for the transfer of its funds, records and property, to June 30, 1938, unless the said Council shall be sooner abolished by action of the President.
