Executive Order 6575-A—Designation of and Authorization to the Secretary of State to Acquire and Dispose of Certain Property

January 24, 1934

By virtue of the authority vested in me by title II, section 203(a), of the National Industrial Recovery Act, approved June 16, 1933 (Public, No. 67, 73d Cong.), I hereby designate and authorize the Secretary of State (a) to acquire by purchase or by the exercise of the power of eminent domain, any real or personal property in connection with the construction of any project under allocations heretofore, or which may hereafter be, made to the Department of State pursuant to, and under the authority of, the aforesaid act, including particularly the Rio Grande rectification project provided for by the convention of February I, 1933, between the United States and Mexico, and (b) to sell, or lease with or without the privilege of purchase, any property so acquired, and (c) to execute on behalf of the United States any necessary conveyances or other instruments incident to disposition of such property.
