Executive Order 6114—Authorizing the Appointment of Mrs. May Cairns Aimone

Mrs. May Cairns Aimone may be appointed to a clerical position in the classified service without compliance with the requirements of the civil-service rules.

Mrs. Aimone is the widow of Dr. Victor A. Aimone, former medical officer in charge, Veterans' Hospital, Washington, D.C., who died in line of duty on July 13, 1932, as the result of a gunshot wound inflicted by a former patient of the hospital.

This order is issued upon the recommendation of the Administrator of Veterans' Affairs.
