Gingrich Campaign Press Release - New Rasmussen Poll: Romney 30%, Gingrich 27%

A new national poll released by Rasmussen shows Newt is rapidly closing the gap and has momentum on his side.

Romney - 30%

Gingrich - 27%

Santorum - 15%

Paul - 13%

Perry - 4%

In the poll, Newt Gingrich leads Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney amongst Tea Party and Evangelical voters by a 2-1 margin.

Among Tea Party: Gingrich 39%, Romney 21%, Santorum 20%.

Among Evangelicals: Gingrich 36%, Romney 19%, Santorum 16%.

Newt is also the preferred candidate amongst "very conservative" voters.
