Executive Order 9544—Authorizing and Directing the Secretary of War to Assume Full Control of a Certain Airport

By virtue of the authority vested in me by section 2 of the act of May 24, 1928, 45 Stat. 728 (49 U.S.C. 212), and deeming such action necessary for military purposes, I hereby authorize and direct the Secretary of War to assume full control of the public airport on the following-described lands, now leased under the provisions of the said act of May 24, 1928, to the City of Redmond, Oregon:

WILLAMETTE MERIDIAN

T. 15 S. R. 13 E.,

sec. 22, E ½, N ½ NW ½ , SE ¼ NW ¼ , NE ¼ SW ¼, S ½ SW1/4;

sec. 23, W ½ E 1/2 , W ½ ;

sec. 26, NW ¼

sec 27, N ½

The area described aggregate 1,520 acres.

This order shall continue in force and affect during the unlimited national emergency declared by Proclamation No. 2487 of May 27, 1941 (Stat. 1647), and for six months after the official termination thereof.
