To the Senate:

I transmit, for the consideration of the Senate with a view to ratification, an additional article, signed the 5th instant, extending for a period eighteen months from the date of the exchange of ratifications of the same the provisions of Article VIII of the convention of July 29, 1882, between the United States and Mexico, in regard to the resurvey of the boundary line, a copy of which convention is herewith inclosed.
