To the House of Representatives of the United States:

A report from the Secretary of State, with copies of a recent correspondence between the charge d'affaires from Brazil and him on the subjects of discussion between this Government and that of Brazil,* is transmitted to the House of Representatives, in compliance with a resolution of the House of the 2d instant.
