Executive Order 8012—Authorizing the Appointment of Miss Sarah Wilson Reed to a Classified Position in the Navy Department Without Regard to the Civil Service Rules

November 25, 1938

By virtue of and pursuant to the authority vested in me by the provisions of paragraph Eighth, subdivision SECOND, section 2 of the Civil Service Act (22 Stat. 403, 404), it is hereby ordered that Miss Saiah Wilson Reed may be appointed to a classified position in the Navy Department without compliance with the requirements of the Civil Service Rules.

Miss Reed is the daughter of Clyde Reed, who has been retired from his position in the Navy Department on account of permanent and total disability.

This order is issued upon recommendation of the Secretary of the Navy.
