Nomination for an Assistant Secretary of the Treasury

The President announced today that he intends to nominate Leslie Samuels, a highly respected tax attorney, as Assistant Secretary for Tax Policy at the Department of Treasury.

"As I take the case for my economic plan to the people of this country," said the President, "I am very pleased to know that someone of Leslie Samuels' caliber will be watching over tax policy at Treasury. He will do an excellent job at keeping my commitment to a tax system that is fair to all Americans."
