GENERAL CREIGHTON W. ABRAMS, CHIEF OF STAFF, UNITED STATES ARMY

As a mark of respect to the memory of General Creighton W. Abrams, Chief of Staff, United States Army, it is hereby ordered, pursuant to the provisions of Section 4 of Proclamation 3044 of March 1, 1954, as amended, that until the day of interment the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff on all buildings, grounds, and naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions. T also direct that the flag shall be flown at half-staff during this same period at all United States embassies, consular offices, and other facilities abroad, including all military facilities and naval vessels and stations.
