MRS. HOOVER and I are greatly saddened to learn of the death of your husband, Alfred A. Taylor. In his public career as Governor of the State and member of Congress he served the public welfare with ability and devoted diligence, and his character was reflected in a high sense of duty in all his relationships. Please accept for yourself and members of your family our deepest sympathy in your loss.
