YOUR GRACIOUS message of appreciation and farewell has been duly received and I have taken the liberty of giving it to the press for publication to the American people.

Mrs. Hoover cordially joins me in renewed good wishes for the continued welfare of Your Imperial Highness and Princess Takamatsu.
