Executive Order 11259—Amending Executive Order No. 11157 as it Relates to Incentive Pay For Hazardous Duty Involving Parachute Jumping

December 03, 1965

By virtue of the authority vested in me by Section 301 (a) of Title 37, United States Code, and as President of the United States and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the United States, Section 108 (c) of Executive Order No. 11157 of June 22, 1964, is hereby amended by adding the following new sentence at the end thereof:

"The minimum requirements may be waived by the commanding officer of a member for any period that the member is unable to perform the required jumps by reason of being engaged in combat operations in a hostile fire area designated under Section 310 of Title 37 of the United States Code."

This Order shall be effective December 1, 1965.
