KU KLUX KLANSMEN KILL CIVIL RIGHTS LEADER
March 25th, 1965

Viola Liuzzo, a white civil rights leader was shot and killed outside Montgomery, Alabama, after a high-speed car chase. Liuzzo's death came the day after demonstrators and marchers were attacked in the state capitol by state police using tear gas, whips and nightsticks.
