A few of you have asked if the president is having any private meetings with Defense Secretary Mattis, Secretary of State Tillerson or other senior aides regarding the situation unfolding in Syria. Your pooler has not seen any of these officials at Mar-a-Lago, though we are told they are here.

Your pooler saw Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump entering a few moments ago, dressed in formal wear. I have asked the White House if we can get details on what the president is doing and who he is meeting with about Syria -- or whether to expect any news tonight -- but no word yet.

We are heading shortly back to Mar-a-Lago for a photo spray of the presidents having dinner. In the meantime, the White House advises the below menu for tonight.

Caesar Salad with homemade focaccia croutons, parmigiano-reggiano
Pan-seared Dover Sole with champagne sauce
Herb-roasted new potatoes
Haricots verts, Thumbelina Carrots

Dry Aged Prime New York Strip Steak
Whipped Potatoes
Roasted Root Vegetables

Dessert options:

Chocolate cake with vanilla sauce and dark chocolate sorbet

Trio of Sorbet (Lemon, Mango, and Raspberry)

Wine options:

2014 Chalk Hill Chardonnay from the Sonoma Coast
2014 Girard Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley
