In-town pool report #1 - Meeting w/ Danish PM
Jordan Fabian • The Hill
March 30, 2017: 03:19 PM

Pool was ushered into the Oval Office at 3:08 PM for President Trump's meeting with Prime Miniser Lars Løkke Rasmussen of Denmark.

No news. Pool was in the Oval for less than a minute.

Trump, wearing a dark suit, white shirt and trademark solid red tie, was seated to Rasmussen's left in front of the fireplace.

"It's great to be here with the prime minister of Denmark," Trump said. "He's doing a very wonderful job and we have a truly great relationship and we are working together on many fronts."

"Thank you. It is nice to be here," Rasmussen responded.

The two leaders smiled and shook hands.

A Danish reporter asked Trump how he sees Denmark as an ally.

"Very good ally. Great ally," Trump responded. "Great people."

"We're going to have certain exchanges that I think will be very fruitful," the president said when asked what was on the agenda.

Trump thanked the press and aides ushered the media out of the Oval.

The president did not respond to a question about the NYT report on WH aides helping to give HPSCI Chairman Nunes intelligence reports on surveillance related to Trump associates.
