In-town Pool Report #3
Kaitlan Collins • The Daily Caller
March 28, 2017: 11:38 AM

A Secret Service spokesman just made these comments off camera and on background regarding the "secure perimeter" at the White House this morning. Would not call it a lockdown.

A male suspect approached a uniformed officer at 15th and Penn around 10:15 a.m. this morning. He made suspicious comments and had a package. Officers then separated the individual and the package. At time of briefing, the individual was in Secret Service custody in a vehicle.

Explosives teams are on the scene and a security perimeter has been established. East Wing tours are temporarily suspended. All other activity continues as normal.

Secret Service said they will tweet out a photo of the person on their Twitter account shortly.
