Pool escorted into Roosevelt room around 9:11, where exectuves from Merck, Johnson & Johnson, Celgene, Amgen, Eli Lilly, PhRMA trade group & House Energy & Commerce chairman Greg Walden, R-Ore.

POTUS entered at 9:20, sat between Robert Hughin of Celgene and Kenneth Frazier of Merck, opposite VPOTUS.

Remarks focused on need to bring down drug costs, but promised to reduce regulations. He encouraged companies to bring manufacturing jobs back to the United States.

Will transcribe quotes more fully in later reporter, but here's some fragments

"You folks have done a tremendous job but we have to get prices down."

Another briefing about to begin, will expand on this report ASAP
