After an hour-long flight, Air Force Two landed at the Air National Guard Base at Stewart International Airport.
The vice president and Mrs. Pence left the plane together, with Mr. Pence now wearing an overcoat. The couple chatted briefly with a handful of greeters. On an icy, treacherous tarmac, Mr. Pence helped Karen Pence into the waiting SUV before taking his seat.
At 4:30 motorcade started rolling toward West Point. Roads are bad and we're told the ride may take up to an hour. It's windy and 23 degrees.
