VP pool report #2
Ashley Parker • The Washington Post
February 17, 2017: 10:10 PM

Pence was wheels down 9:32 pm local, and walked off the plane and into a chilly, rainy Munich night, holding his wife's hand. He was greeted by two dozen members of the Bavarian Honor Guard, standing on either side of the soggy red carpet that led to Air Force Two.

Per Rebeccah Propp on the VP's team, he was also greeted by Her Excellency Beate Merk, Bavaria's Minister of European Affairs and International Relations; Mr. Kent Logsdon, Charge? d'Affaires, U.S. Embassy Germany; and his wife. Someone, helpfully, was holding an umbrella.

We are now motorcading to the hotel, where we will have a lid.
