Pence's final, surprise meeting was with...Bono.

Pence and Bono, clad in all black save a deep purple scarf, were already chatting when your pool was ushered in for a spray at the top.

"I appreciate the chance to get together with you for a min," Pence told Bono.

"You're the second busiest man on earth, so we really do appreciate it," Bono said, to laughter.

"I just might be," Pence agreed.

The vice president then said he was on the House Foreign Affairs Committee when PEPFAR was passed, a fact Bono seemed familiar with, as he cut Pence off: "Twice, from the House floor, you defended that. That's how we know you."

"Thank you," said Pence, to which Bono replied, "And we really appreciate it."

Pence called the legislation an "extraordinary historic accomplishment," and then your pool was escorted out. We are now about to motorcade back to the hotel.
