And at 8:29 p.m. local, we are back at the hotel and have a lid.

Also, thanks (again!) to CNN's Kevin Liptak, for the full transcript of the Michel-Pence remarks.

(walk-in, shake hands)

MICHEL: Mr. Vice President, I am very happy to meet you and welcome you to Brussels, this very beautiful city, and I also am looking forward to discuss the very important challenges we are facing.

PENCE: Well, thank you Mr. Prime Minister, thank you for welcoming me to this beautiful place, it's an honor to be with you, to be in Brussels. I bring greetings from President Donald Trump, and I also bring the warm appreciation of the American people for the long term alliance between the people of Belgium and look very much forward to our discussion tonight and very much forward to my meetings tomorrow with the leaders of the European Union and with the leaders of NATO.

(shake hands, questions shouted, walk out)
