White House press secretary Sean Spicer gaggled briefly with the press pool in the parking lot of Mar-a-Lago.
He said POTUS spent the day receiving internal briefings and holding senior staff meetings on strategy. Did not say whether he golfed.
On Sunday, Trump will speak with these candidates to be his next national security adviser: Army strategist Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster, former United Nations ambassador John Bolton, acting national security adviser Keith Kellogg, West Point superintendent Lt. Col. Robert Caslen, and "potentially more."
Former CIA director David Petraeus is out of the running and Spicer did not have an update on whether former Army Chief of Staff and retired Gen. Ray Odierno was still in the running.
Unclear whether all of those meetings will be in person or if some will be over the phone.
Also on Sunday, POTUS will hold calls with three foreign leaders and will have an ObamaCare strategy meeting with HHS secretary Price and OMB director Mick Mulvaney.
