WH Travel Pool Report #3
Mark Landler • New York Times
March 20, 2017: 05:20 PM

President Trump arrived at the Kentucky Exposition Center at 710 after a 15-minute drive on largely empty streets, at one point passing a deserted rollercoaster.

Pool is now in an arena that looks filled to capacity. Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has just taken the podium to introduce the president.

Behind the stage are placards that say "Promises Made" and "Promises Kept." Other lighted signs say "Make America Great Again!"

Speech is open press.
