No news from POTUS' meet and greet with troops after natsec meeting, but he did answer a couple of questions.
Asked about the meeting, POTUS said, "the meeting was great a very good meeting."
He praised Pentagon personnel for doing great work.
Asked about an announcement on Afghan troop levels, POTUS said, "You'll be hearing." He did not elaborate.
He ignored a question about AG Sessions.

Around 11:15 AM, pool was escorted into a hallway inside the Pentagon lined with portraits of former chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, where more than two dozen service members clad in dress uniforms from different branches of the military stood against the walls.

At 12:42 PM, more than an hour behind schedule, POTUS emerged with VP Pence and SecDef Mattis.
He spent roughly a minute going down the lines and shaking hands. His comments were mostly inaudible but at one point, he said "what a group."
