White House Pool Report #2 - signing ceremony
Hunter Walker • Yahoo News
June 2, 2017: 03:10 PM

President Trump entered the Diplomatic Reception Room at about 2:55 pm. He proceeded to sign a pair of bills about benefits for fallen law enforcement officers.

After signing the bills, Trump noted they were "slightly less controversial" than his announcement yesterday.

Following brief remarks, Trump left the room. As he walked out, Trump ignored shouted questions about whether he would try to block James Comey's testimony and a question asking if he had any response to Geraldo Rivera's comment that he was "appalled" by the withdrawal from the Paris agreement because of potential environmental consequences. Trump ignored both questions. Your pooler will provide an update with more details on his remarks ASAP.

He was flanked by a group that included uniformed law enforcement, Vice President Mike Pence, and Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi. Ivanka Trump stood off to the side with White House aides. Staffers have said they will provide the pool with a full list of participants. We will also send that along as soon as possible.
