Travel Pool Report # 3 -- Update on briefing
Michael Shear • The New York Times
May 27, 2017: 12:20 PM

Hey all,

Sean Spicer just swung by the pool hold here to inform that there will be a briefing at the Hilton press hotel file center tonight at 3 pm local by McMaster and Cohn. It will be OFF CAMERA, but ON THE RECORD.

The White House says that they are doing their best to be able to have press who attend that briefing at the Hilton be able to still be bussed to the Sigonella Naval Air Station for the POTUS remarks, which are at about 5 pm today. Fair warning, traffic and/or other delays could complicate that, but the WH says they are doing their best to make it all happen.

No news on the communique. Spicer said it is still being worked on, but did not give any hint or direction about what it might say.

Also, Spicer said that the POTUS speech would like include some trip wrap-up stuff and "relationship" stuff relating to other countries. So not just a message to the troops.
