Travel Pool Report #4 - pool departure
Michael Shear • The New York Times
May 27, 2017: 03:28 PM

Hi all. Your pool is on the move but without POTUS. Because POTUS is making a helicopter movement to the Sigonella Naval Air Station, and because the press pool does not have the ability to take helicopters, the pool is motorcading separately.

As a result, your pool does not know whether POTUS has taken off yet. I have asked the WH if there is someone who is traveling wth POTUS on Marine One who can let me know when he is wheels up and wheels down. They have said they will try, though did not make any promises.

If your pooler hears about POTUS movements from the WH, I will pass them along asap. Otherwise, I am headed to the air station for the speech to the troops.

Mike
