Travel Pool Report #11 -- JBA Arrival
Michael Shear • The New York Times
May 27, 2017: 09:07 PM

Air Force One, carrying POTUS, FLOTUS and White House staff landed at Joint Base Andrews at 8:54 pm eastern time, officially returning POTUS from his first overseas trip. POTUS and FLOTUS emerged shortly after and at 9:04 the first couple deplaned and have boarded Marine One and your pooler is handing off to the in-town pool.

A senior administration official gaggled at the beginning of the flight. You should already have the transcript. But I sent out a short summary with some quotes.

If you would permit me, your pooler would like to thank some people:

Jeff Mason and the WHCA board for the hard work of planning for this trip, and for negotiating with the White House for access.

The White House advance staff, wranglers, travel office and press staff for their help getting us where we needed to be to cover POTUS (especially Ashley, Giovanna, and Michael)

Michael Memoli, who organized the pool rotations and did so much more on the trip.

My colleagues. It's an honor to be part of the hardest-working press corps in the world.

Until the next time.

Mike.
