pool report #1 - health care "discussion" attendees
John Bennett • CQ Roll Call
March 10, 2017: 09:11 AM

Good morning from the White House basement on an overcast Friday in your nation's capital. Continuing this week's (new) trend, most of the president's meetings today are closed to the press with no planned pool sprays or POTUS remarks. The lone exception is an 11:30 a.m. "health care discussion" with House Republican committee chairs, which, as of now, features a pool spray. These chairmen and chairwomen oversee panels that have some jurisdiction over aspects of the effort to repeal and replace the Obama administration's 2010 health law. The White House provides the below list of expected attendees; your pooler will attempt to obtain more information about President Trump's other meetings, including White House aides or other officials who might be participating in his closed press meetings/phone calls.

Vice President Mike Pence

Rep. Diane Black (R-TN) - House Budget Committee chairwoman

Rep. Kevin Brady (R-TX) - House Ways and Means Committee chairman

Rep. Greg Walden (R-WA) - House Energy and Commerce Committee chairman

Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC) - House Education and Workforce Committee chairwoman

Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) - Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee chairman
