Pool report #8 - 5/24/17
Carol Lee • Wall Street Journal
May 24, 2017: 12:10 PM

At 11:57am the president's motorcade was rolling from the palace to Villa Taverna for POTUS's meeting with Prime Minister Pablo Gentiloni.

There were people lining the streets nearby as the motorcade rolled through some touristy spots. Many of them were filming the vehicles - of which there are about 50 by your pooler's count - as they drove by. One woman held her arm in the air to show off her extended middle finger. Her gesture offset that of a collared priest who earlier stood on the sidewalk applauding as the motorcade rolled to the palace.

Closer to Villa Taverna the crowds thinned out. Motorcade arrived at 12:07pm. Pool is heading to a spray.
