Pool report #4
Breanna Edwards • Univision
March 11, 2017: 01:34 PM

Pool was escorted to what seems to be the main clubhouse at 1:00 pm for a small spray. After being led up some stairs, pool was escorted into a dining room where POTUS was seated at a table for what he described as "part of a cabinet meeting" for lunch to discuss the military and other things.

Present at the table were press secretary Sean Spicer, chief strategist Steve Bannon, chief of staff Reince Priebus, treasure secretary Steven Mnuchin and his fiancée, secretary of homeland security John Kelly, commerce secretary Wilbur Ross and his wife and secretary of veterans affairs David Shulkin and his wife.

Some remarks

"the economy is doing very, very well..we really had a mess and it's getting straightened out."

"we're also talking about Healthcare which is coming along."

Trump said "secret service did a fantastic job last night" adding that "it was a troubled person" in relation to last night's breach.

Press Secretary Sean Spicer came downstairs to speak to the pool briefly after Trump's comments.

Some of his remarks.

Regarding the breach:

"POTUS was made aware of the situation at the WH. General Kelly was kept aware of the situation the entire time."

Spicer directed any further questions directed to secret service media affairs.

In regards to today's lunch:

"POTUS wanted to take some key members of his team out and have a working lunch to talk about the economy, some of the issues we're dealing with with homeland security, obviously General Kelly is updating him on some of the steps he's taking with respect to the executive order on immigration. They're talking about healthcare and the repeal and replace effort and continuing strategy to work with Congress to see that forward.

Other small notes from Spicer:

"Secret service did a phenomenal job they continue to provide phenomenal protection to the president and the first family and the president was very appreciative of their efforts"

Spicer didn't know if POTUS had a chance to see any of VPOTUS' comments before departure from the WH.

Pool was escorted back to the Tennis Building at around 1:12pm
