Pool report No. 9: Crown prince
Emily Ngo • Newsday
May 15, 2017: 02:06 PM

POTUS remarks re Crown Prince Muhammad bin Zayid Al Nuhayyan of Abu Dhabi, seated with him in Oval Office and with whom he shook hands. Photo is attached, though not of handshake.

"Great honor to have Sheik Muhammad with us today, a man that I've known, very special, very special person, highly respected.

"And loves his country, I can tell you that, loves his country. And I think loves the United States, which to us is very important."

POTUS said thank you to pool several times, an indicator that he wouldn't entertain questions, but -- as noted in a previous pool report -- when pressed about how his search for an FBI director to replace James Comey was going, POTUS eventually responded: "Moving rapidly."

The prince did not address reporters.

(And a clarification on my past reports and a thank you to a colleague for enhancing my understanding of this. Flags here and at Capitol are at half-staff. "Half-mast" is reserved for flags on ships, etc.)
